Every week, your volunteer hosts promise to feature music from Aboriginal people in Canada. You are in for a variety of music - it could be some Metis fiddle music, some traditional pow wow music from First Nations drum groups, some Inuit throat singing or it could be some good ole rock n' roll or bluez from either First Nations, Inuit or Metis folks in Canada.

Local Aboriginal Family needs your support!!!
Ottawa – Local aboriginal health and wellness instructor Beverley Sunday, 30, and her husband Joseph Sayer, 35, were badly injured in a single-vehicle accident just after 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 19th while driving on Lucerne Boulevard in Gatineau.
The couple both sustained serious brain injuries and multiple broken bones. Neither has regained consciousness and both are in intensive care at the CHVO in Hull. Their three young children – ages five, six and 12 – are currently being cared for by extended family.
Sunday, originally from Alberta, is a prominent local aboriginal who participated as a dancer in the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Olympic Games on Feb. 12th in British Columbia, under the auspices of the Indigenous Youth Gathering Program. Sunday also joined Sayer as an Olympic Torchbearer in December. Sayer worked as a house inspector, tow-truck driver and volunteer.
The local aboriginal community is in the early stages of planning multiple fundraisers, but the family needs assistance now.
